Three things you need to know about Labour's Boundary Charge

If you think Labour’s Outer London toll boundary is never going to happen, you need to know 3 things:

  1. All the camera are already in place. They’ve been there since 2008 when Ken Livingstone brought in the Low Emission Zone (LEZ). The LEZ only applies to goods vehicles but the cameras can read car number plates just as easily.

  2. It’s not a new idea, it’s been debated since at least 2012 by the Lib Dems. What’s changed is that now Labour are looking seriously at it, the Mayor has asked TfL to carry out a detailed feasibility study.

  3. For Labour, this is political “kite flying” - putting up an idea to see how people react. Make no mistake, if they don’t hear anything they will press on. So our job in outer London is to make sure they hear exactly how damaging and unpopular this idea is.

So please - sign the petition - spread the word - and vote Conservative on May 6th, as Mayor Shaun Bailey will scrap this on day one.
